PCI Bus Expansion Units (Type BE)
The Type BE expansion units are low-cost, high-speed parallel cable extension sub-system for laptop and desktop PC with CardBus, PCI or PCIe slot. The combination of a bus adapter unit and an expansion chassis lets you extend a parallel cable by 1m (recommended)
StarFabric Compliant Expansion Units (Type SF)
With a high-speed PCI bridging chip StarFabric from StarGen, this product allows you to extend the cable length up to 12m by converting PCI bus signals to high speed serial transfer. Type SF expansion units are available for the computers with CardBus, PCI and/or PCIe slot.
