Media Converters: Serial to LAN & GPIB to Ethernet
Converting Serial to LAN, GPIB to Ethernet
RS-232C/RS-422A ⇔ 100BASE-TX
RS-232C/RS-422A ⇔ IEEE802.11 a/b/g
The RP--COM/422(FIT) series allows you to convert RS-232C or RS-422A serial I/F to LAN-enabled, either wired or wireless, thus gives you freedom of hardware layout without being limited by 15m serial cable length restriction. CONTEC media converter helps:
- when no communication port available other than RS-232C/RS-422A,
- when you don't want to change your communication software,
- when communication settings can't be altered,
- when you want a wireless connection.
The RP-GPIB(FIT)GY converts GPIB signal to Ethernet-enabled signal and lets you control IEEE-488.1 and IEEE-488.2 compliant GPIB instruments from a remote PC via LAN. With attached Windows driver and utility software, you can readily set up your remote control/monitoring system.
